Avoid the morning race for a poolside lounger, or keep the children entertained for hours, by treating yourself to a holiday villa with a private pool. Available with between two to five bedrooms, farmhouses are perfect to accommodate families and work out good value in accommodating groups of friends. All farmhouses contain fully equipped kitchens and indoor and outdoor eating areas, and are situated in villages rather than by the coast.
Apartments
2 or 3 bedrooms apartments are usually found in coastal resort areas, with an easy walk to the sea, and perhaps a sea view. They provide a cheaper alternative to farmhouses, especially for smaller groups wishing to keep costs down by self catering. They contain fully equipped kitchens and an eating area, but usually the only outside space will be a small terrace or balcony.
Guest Houses
Guesthouses and Bed and Breakfasts (B&Bs) provide guests with a private bedroom and bathroom within a house where the owners are living. This option works well for single travellers and couples. Guest Houses are often traditional houses, and may or may not have communal gardens or pools. Just breakfast and tea and coffee making is provided, however, the owners are usually extremely helpful in telling you about the island and suggesting things to do.
